WALK. CREW. VOLUNTEER!
You Can Walk: Register to walk one, two or three days! Registration will be limited to 50 walkers, with your fundraising requirement based upon days walked.

You Can Crew: The backbone of our event is our all-volunteer crew! Crew members are registered participants of the event and work various teams to support the walkers throughout the event weekend. Registration will be limited to 15 crew members with preference being given to those with previous on-event crew experience.  See more information below about the various Crew Team opportunities

You Can Volunteer: Are you unable to participate in the event this year? Not to worry! There will be many volunteer opportunities before, during and after the event weekend if you want to be involved. To be added to our volunteer list, please email: info@immediateimpactwalk.org

JOIN OUR CREW!

Crewing is a great way to lend your support for those who are walking 15 - 55 miles over the event weekend. Crew members must be able to make a full three day commitment, and be able to attend a Thursday late afternoon All Crew Orientation Meeting.

Crew members pay the event registration fee and accommodations/meals fees but are not required to fundraise. Crew members are encouraged, however, to raise $250 in donations.

The following is a list of Crew Team assignments:

Sweep Vehicle Team (4 people/2 vehicles)
The Sweep Vehicle Team will drive along the route from the last walkers to the first to make sure that transportation is readily available to any walkers who need it due to injury, need for rest or pacing.

Rest, Rehydrate & Refuel Stop Team   (2 people/1 vehicle)
The "RRR Stop" Teams will provide hydration and snacks to walkers along the route. The crew team will leap-frog along the route to appointed "RRR Stop" locations to meet walkers.

Medical Crew Team (2 people/1 vehicle)

Licensed RNs will be at each RRR Stop and along the walk route and in camp for basic first aid.

Route Safety Team (2 people/2 motorcycles)

The Route Safety Team will be mobile on the route to support walkers crossing busy intersections and will keep an eye on the moving pack of walkers to ensure route closure timing.

Camp Services Team  (2 people/1 vehicle)

The Camp Services Team will be our "camp moms" during the event weekend. Responsibilities include loading and unload gear bags, setting up breakfast, and setting up each evening's entertainment in camp. Ability to lift 30 pounds and experience driving a 12" box truck are ideal.

Logistics Coordinator (2 people/1 vehicle)

The Logistics Coordinator will act as liaison between the event manager, Camp Service Crew and Route Manager. Responsibilities will include troubleshooting situations as they arise during the event weekend, maintaining the event schedule, mobilizing crew as event needs change. The Logistics Coordinator will also be primary contact for volunteers during the event weekend and for Closing Ceremony set-up.
